Emerald Frog Marketing has recently completed a range of marketing materials for international company, Cambridge Guardian Angels, to help promote their Guardianship and Academy services to international students.

Cambridge Guardian Angels (CGA) provide care to international children,  aged 11-18 years old, who wish to gain a first class education in the UK. CGA provide a comprehensive, all-inclusive educational guardianship service to ensure that every child is given the individual attention they require to achieve their full potential whilst in the UK and are passionate that each student gets the most out of their time studying in England.

The team  at CGA provide a guardianship service to several exclusive schools and colleges across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire and the East of England.

Firstly, we were asked to create a new identity for a brand new “Academy for Girls”, based at Clare College in Cambridge. The Academy offers STEM [science, technology, engineering and mathematics] enrichment programmes to students aged 13-17 years in the Spring term. The identity needed to fit with the current branding for Cambridge Guardian Angels, so we came up with a slightly updated version, using a different colour scheme incorporating the famous “Cambridge Blue”.

We then went on to create the marketing materials. The brief was to come up with an A4 folded leaflet which had great visual impact, so using the images available to us from both CGA and Clare College, we copy-wrote and created a modern and informative brochure to promote the new “Spring Courses for Girls” to an international target market. The brochure promotes the benefits of Cambridge as a world class centre for learning, the unique selling points of the educational programme and pastoral care CGA is renowned for.

Once the brochure had been approved, we produced CGA’s business cards, social media accounts and the associated cover images.

Secondly, to attract students from Germany in particular, we sourced excellent local translation services, First Edition, to translate the copy required. We then designed an A4 folded leaflet keeping the layout and branding consistent across all materials, to ensure that on all customer touch-points the CGA brand would be easily recognisable by their global customers.

We’ve also performed an SEO healthcheck on the CGA website to provide information on  how their website is performing on Google and with our recommendations for changes to raise the level of brand awareness online.

CGA’s Director, Julia Evans said, “Emerald Frog were recommended to us and stood out against the local competition. They were very quick to meet and enthusiastic. Emerald Frog Marketing made a big effort to understand our needs and offered some useful advice we had not considered at our introductory meeting. We needed a broad range of marketing products and each one was quickly understood and worked on, all our messages were answered quickly and our needs were prioritised even though our workload came during a holiday period.

Initially I was considering using a London based marketing company and Emerald Frog have many times made me realise the value of a good local marketing team.”

This has been a fantastic project for us to work on, and we look forward to helping Cambridge Guardian Angels with their on-going marketing strategies in the coming months.
