A donation of £230 from a charity auction amongst local businesses has helped Little Bundles, a Cambridge based organisation, provide blankets for families in need across Cambridgeshire this winter.
Little Bundles is a charitable organisation that aims to meet the needs of those finding themselves in difficult circumstances. Whether families are homeless, fleeing domestic violence, or in financial hardship when they are expecting or caring for a baby, Little Bundles works on a referral process through professionals such as health and social workers, to provide essential items such as cots, prams, high-chairs and baby clothes. Little Bundles receives a staggering 300 requests for help a year.
The donation, made by communications agency, Emerald Frog Marketing, through funds raised in their Charity Auction, was presented to Little Bundles earlier this month.
Gwen Tolhurst, Chairperson at Little Bundles said: “Little Bundles is delighted to buy a supply of blankets, thanks to the donation. We are also currently running very low on highchairs, play mats, change mats, sterilisers, breast pumps and bottles. If anyone has any of these items that they no longer need and would like to donate, or would like to get involved by volunteering to help out on our committee, please contact us so we can continue to help families”.
Jo Evans, Director at Emerald Frog Marketing said: “We chose Little Bundles for the fantastic and tireless work they do to support families at crisis point in Cambridgeshire. We are delighted to know that the money will help keep babies and small children warm this winter and would like to thank all the local businesses who contributed prizes to our auction allowing us to raise these much needed funds.”
