A couple of our much loved customers, recruitment specialists Labour-Tech Recruitment and their care agency division, Healthcare Anglia, have teamed up to show their support and raise money for the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity by taking part in the Gold Challenge.
A team of four consultants, all novice cyclists, have signed up for the Olympic inspired campaign and will cycle 20.12 miles from their head office in Ely to Arthur Rank House on Mill Road in Cambridge on Sunday July 22nd. Their challenge has also been supported by local cycle shop City Cycle Centre in Ely who have provided Labour-Tech and Healthcare Anglia with cycle safety helmets for the event.
“We are fully supportive of the amazing work that the Arthur Rank Hospice provides to patients and their friends, family and carers and it’s a cause that is very close to our hearts. The Labour-Tech team wanted to fully embrace the Olympic theme of the challenge by raising £2012 for the hospice by cycling 20.12 miles. We really hope that local businesses will help us reach our goal to help the hospice continue their good work.” says Keith Wilson, Managing Director at Labour-Tech Recruitment Ltd, who is also part of the cycling team.
All funds raised by the cyclists will go towards supporting Arthur Rank Hospice which offers free life-enhancing care to patients and their families in Cambridgeshire living with the effects of life-limiting illness. Community Fundraiser Amy Cuffe says, ‘The Gold Challenge is a fantastic opportunity to encourage people to become active, celebrate the Olympic year and raise vital funds for the Charity. We would like to thank Labour-Tech and Healthcare Anglia for their support – their £2012 fundraising target will make a huge difference to the Charity being the equivalent of eight days Hospice at Home nursing care.”
