The Government has just helped launch a new business growth initiative, “Start Up Britain” to help entrepreneurs and small businesses get their ideas off the ground. We are happy to help support this initiative to get more local and regional businesses off the ground.

StartUp Britain is a ground-breaking response from the private sector to the Government’s call for an “enterprise-led” recovery.It will deliver the very best in support and advice for startup companies, led by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs.

Welcoming the campaign, Mr Cameron said the ”people best placed to help business are the people who do business”.

It is fully supported by the Coalition Government and has so far gathered the backing of significant international brands including Barclays, BlackBerry, Experian, Intel, Microsoft, McKinsey & Co. and Virgin Media.

The Government has also set out a series of measures to help inspire, support and grow business startups including support for every school in England to run its own business; and creating enterprise societies in every University to develop the ambition and skills for enterprise.

With the planned demise of Business Link from November 2011 support for entrepreneurs and small businesses has been passed over the private sector.
